2. Opening a Grave
2.1 All applications for interment in Killymurris graveyards shall be made to a Convenor of the Graveyard Sub-Committee normally at least 48 hours before interment can take place. This is to allow for administration to be completed.
2.2 An application to open a grave must be accompanied by proof of the right to bury (i.e. production of the registration certificate).
2.3 The person requesting an interment in any grave must give details of the person to be buried.
2.4 The opening and closing of a grave in the Killymurris Church graveyards will be the responsibility of the undertaker who will carry this duty out in liaison with the gravedigger. Payments for this service should be made directly by the family to the undertaker.
2.5 Cremated remains must not be scattered in the graveyard. In the event of a request for burial of cremated remains, the Congregational Committee will only permit the urn or casket to be treated as a normal interment.
