

4. Upkeep of Graves
4.1 Responsibility for the upkeep and tidiness of headstones, surrounds and graves shall rest with the registered owner or their family. Where grave plots are not maintained the Congregational Committee will be at liberty to contact family in writing.
4.2 Planting on graves should be restricted to flowers or miniature shrubs. The registered plot certificate holder or their family will be responsible for maintaining planted flowers and shrubs in grave plots. NO PLANTING ON GRAVES WILL BE PERMITTED IN THE NEW GRAVE YARD.
4.3 All existing monuments or railings must be kept in good order and repair to the satisfaction of the Congregational Committee and, should these fall into disrepair or not be maintained the Congregational Committee will have the authority: to have them put in order and repaired at the expense of the registered plot certificate holder; to have them removed at the expense of the registered plot certificate holder; to refuse an application for interment thereafter, except under terms as the Congregational Committee may deem appropriate.
4.4 Wreaths made of artificial materials should be removed from graves after a reasonable period and preferably within six months of burial.
4.5 Glass wreaths and other artificial flowers that have become unsightly will be disposed of by the Congregational Committee.
